THE LONG STORY
What's for dinner?
I have always enjoyed cooking when I am in the mood for it but there are nights that I just don't feel like making dinner. (usually Mondays) When my two year-old daughter started saying pizza man every time the doorbell rang, I knew I had to do something.
I tried a couple meal prep places where you go and make your dinners for a few weeks in advance and they were great, but they were a little pricey, sometimes a little too fancy and I wanted to know what the whole recipe was so I could prepare it on my own.
Anyhow, after some internet research I got into the OAMC (Once a Month Cooking) cooking blogs (yes that is how exciting my life is okay!) and have been trying easy recipes that can be frozen and then quickly prepared during the week without having to dirty a bunch of pans and prep tools. Call me lazy but some nights I need a one dish wonder to throw in the oven while I am recovering from a day of indoor recess time.
So... I have tried a few weekends where I slave away prepping meals for my family and although I loved the outcome for the rest of the month, something was missing. What if I could bring my meal prep weekends together with friends and maybe even some adult beverages too!  (I am planning the first gathering for September 2008 if anyone is interested.)

Anyhow to make a long story short, (I know it's a little late now for short)... Pampered Chef products have helped me get excited about what was becoming a mundane daily chore. We may not all love cooking, but we all have to eat so why not make food preparation a little more fun?
